The Queerest of the Queer

Okay, so it's been a while since I last posted. I've been busy. Last week was my last week of classes evAr. Very exciting. And a little sad. But mostly just exciting. Plus, it's tradition to get plastered and wander around toasting things on the last day of classes (even though I didn't technically have any classes on Friday anyway), so I spent the greater part of Friday quite drunk. I was hung over by 10pm, which is precisely why it's not a good idea to drink heavily in the middle of the day (unless you plan to continue drinking into the night). I will post unattractive drunken pictures of myself as soon as I get them uploaded. I wore an umbrella hat for most of the afternoon, because it rained.

Despite the terror that occasionally grips me when I think about the uncertain prospects of the coming year, life is pretty good. I'm working on churning out the last three papers of my college career, and I have no in-class final exams. I'm enjoying spending time with my friends (everybody's doing the "ohmygod we're leaving; we have to hang out all the time!" thing). And I've got a sort of friends-with-benefits arrangement going on with Red -- I'm staying in VA after graduation, and she's going to Japan, so we know things aren't really going anywhere relationship-wise, but we're enjoying one another's company in the meantime. (Not that much. Relax. I'm still maintaining my white-knuckled grip in the old V-card.)

I'm actually quite excited about being in the Northern VA/DC/Metro area next year (and possibly this summer, depending on when/where I get a job). A lot of my friends will be around, and there will actually be places that stay open past 6pm (stupid small college town...).

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go turn down my stereo, because I've been blasting The Distillers, and one of my neighbors just walked past my open window and gave me a nasty look. Noise violations 'round these parts cost a pretty penny (and by a pretty penny, I mean 100 dollars).
