Empty Nest

If you get a chance, head on over to AsianPixie's and MKD's blogs and tell them how awesome they are. They're Louie's new aunties (and babysitters)! Because of Mom's/mom's husband's psychosis, Louie was evicted from Chez-Mère (a.k.a. Chez-Psychopath) and has taken up temporary residence with the aforementioned awesome chicks.

We were a little worried that Louie and their dog Mikie (who, incidentally, is the same size as the cat) wouldn't get along, but they seem to be okay together. Mikie's all, "HI! Will you be my new friend?? Let's PLAY!" (Even though you can totally tell that she's jealous of the new pet and afraid that he's gonna try to steal her moms.) And Louie's all, "What the hell are you doing? I play by myself, bitch. Now I'm gonna go splash around in your water dish... and the toilet." Then he tried to jump off the 2nd-story balcony when we let him roam out there. Luckily MKD was there to make a quick save (she grabbed him by the collar). VERY close call. Stupid kamikazi cat.

Anyway, I ended up staying for like five hours (they fed me pizza! yay!), and when I finally dragged myself out the door I totally did the leaving-mom-thing. You know, walking away really slowly and saying "bye-bye sweetie, be good, mommy loves you!" Gawd, I am so lame! That's okay, though; you know you are, too. Shut up! Yes you are. Whatever.
