So Jealous

Last night I went to see Tegan and Sara play at the 9:30 Club in DC. It was an AWESOME show (the opener, Communique, was good too, and their lead singer reminded me of my ex-boyfriend). AND my friends and I got the added bonus of ALL ACCESS PASSES, because C is T&S's cousin. So we hung out in Tegan and Sara's dressing room before and after the show, and they obliged our geeky fan tendencies and posed for pictures and signed autographs. They're both so nice and really, really tiny. Seriously, you don't realize it when they're onstage, but these girls are SMALL.

See?

Anyway, they played a bunch of their older stuff mixed in with songs from their most recent album, and they ended with a really cool cover of Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark." (I had a Courtney Cox bad dancing moment during that last one.) And the only time I've ever seen more lesbians in one place was at the DC Pride parade.

Despite a little run-in with the law in Fairfax County on my drive home (apparently I was speeding in a construction zone, because ALL OF FUCKING 66 is a construction zone, and the speed limit changes from 55 to 65 in random places), I had an amazing night. And I even got checked out by a few cute ladies at the show! (Although it's entirely possible that they were just mesmerized by my bright pink t-shirt with "Turn Me On" emblazoned in shiny gold letters.)
