On the topic of support...

Thing the First:
Why is it so damn hard to find a decent sports bra? I don't think a little chestal support is too much to ask! The problem lies in the fact that the people who size these things seem to subscribe to a misguided one-size-fits-all philosophy of sporting undergarments. Most sports bra manufacturers make a single bra for cup sizes A though C of a certain band size. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that something designed for C-cup breasts will be too big to fully support A-cup breasts. And by the same token, a bra made for itty bitty titties will inevitably over-smoosh C-sized boobs such as my own. While this is certainly not a World-Health-level epidemic, it is a problem. Inadequate support can eventually lead to sagging, and no one wants that. No one. Plus bouncing boobs hurt wicked bad.

Thing the Second:
There should be a support group for gay children from Republican families. Mary Cheney could be the president. I am SO sick of my family skirting the issue and getting visibly uncomfortable when anything remotely "gay" comes up. Not talking about it will not make it less real! (Wow, that was a lot of negatives.) I don't expect them all to join PFLAG and slap rainbow stickers on their cars, but I'd at least like to feel a little less leprous. And I swear the next person who refers to homosexuality, bisexuality, or any other for of non-heterosexuality as a "lifestyle" is going to get kicked in the kneecap. HARD. No wonder my gay cousin Lenny moved to Alaska.
