Scary Halloween plans?

No costumes, no booze, no cover charge.

This Halloween night, I'm going to meet my girlfriend's family. Cue dramatic music.

Mo and I are going to go hang out at her sister's place, hand out candy to trick-or-treaters (aka, eat all the candy and tell the kids it's gone), and play with her sister's new puppy.* Mo's mom and sister and niece and nephew will definitely be there, and Mo's dad (who is still convinced she is dating her extremely gay best guy-friend) may make an appearance.

I'm excited about meeting everybody and about this "big step" in my relationship with Mo. However, I also have a pesky little paralyzing fear of rejection. I am a tremendous doof, my foot likes to live in my mouth, and I'm not a guy, so the chances of me making a less than stellar impression on the 'rents are pretty good.** But Mo has assured me that her family will love me, so I am going to cling to that prospect with a white-knuckled grip and hope for the best.

*I'm taking my camera, so I should be able to post some pics of Mo, the puppy ( whose name is Fang), and me sometime in the near future.

**I threatened to wear a tie and bring flowers for Mo's mom, but Mo assured me that this would cause her mother's untimely death, so I promised not to go all chivalrous and dykey on her.
