All Hail King Louie the Spastic
Here it be, at long last, my very first Feline Update...
Susan and I picked Louie up at the vet yesterday (in a neighboring town) after managing to get lost SEVERAL TIMES on the way (Susan came along, 'cause she wanted to meet kitty... and 'cause I haven't been feeling so hot, and when I'm sick I have a tendency to pass out, which is generally not a good thing when you're cruising along the highway at 80 mph). When the vet brought kitty out, he was still a little sedated and extremely loopy from the anaesthesia (he got fixed)... she set him down on the table, and he just sort of flopped over sideways (so cute! and funny). So I coughed up 95 clams for all the bloodwork and surgery, stowed little Louie in his cardboard castle, and headed home. He seems to like it here (it certainly beats the little cage in the animal shelter, where he spent the last FIVE MONTHS), and he's taken a liking to the little springloaded doorstop thingies that are so abundant throughout the apartment. Every once in awhile, we'll hear a "boingoingoing" and the sound of fleeing kitten (gotta love it when they scare themselves shitless). He's been VERY good and has not yet peed or shat outside his litterbox (knock on wood!). Roomie seems a bit ambivalent about our new furry baby, as he's a little rambunctious and claw-happy, but I'm sure she'll come around. How could you not love this guy???

Louie's other favorite things include playing with electrical cords, especially those attached to my computer (BAD kitty!), running laps around the living room, sharpening his already-razorlike claws on the furniture (good thing the couch is already a piece of shit), and waking me up at 3am by pouncing on my face. Today I plan to tire him out as thoroughly as possible before I go to bed, so maybe he'll sleep through the night (please, oh please!).
Other plans for Louie include a few more toys (possibly little mousie things), and I've been thinking about getting a harness and leash, just so I can be that ass walking her cat like it's a dog (only thing funnier than a cat on a leash is a ferret on a leash. I've seen it. It's ridiculous). However, I imagine Louie not taking a liking to the leash and just digging his claws into my tender legflesh until I free him from his restraints. We shall see. In any case, here are a few more pics, and then I've gotta run. I have places to be and things to see and people to do... wait, that's not right...

King Louie on his throne.

Check out the pirate eyepatch! Arrr, matey!

He may be little, but he's fierce at heart!
