Weekend Update

I knew there was a good reason for dubbing my apartment "Ghetto Fabulous" (other than the fact that it's located behind a strip mall and is a block from the location of last year's random drive-by-shootings)! So Susan came by tonight to have some pizza and beer and watch some Olympics and Buffy DVDs. Good times. Pretty standard, uneventful Friday evening. Except that my brand new sorority-girl upstairs neighbors threw a huge, loud party (for the second night in a row). Actually, it wasn't so much the party that was loud as the people coming and going from the party and SCREAMING in the hallway. Whatever. It's Friday night, it wasn't that late, and I was up and about anyway. Not a problem. What IS a problem is what Susan and I discovered upon her departure. Some drunken moron must have put his hand through a pane of glass in the outside-access door to the building, shattering the pane, and bleeding EVERYWHERE. There's glass shards and blood drippings ALL OVER the sidewalk outside. This is a Bad Thing. It's kind of a hazard, especially because my other neighbors have dogs, so I think I'm gonna at least go clean up the glass. This better not become a weekend routine!
