Nobody knows the wreck of a soul the way you do...

I am uncreative.

I don't have anything particularly witty to say, but I figured I should update anyway because it's been a long time.

So, in the time since I last posted, I got a new job, which I shall start on the 17th. It's basically what I do now (editing), but I'm going to get paid more for doing it, and they offer better benefits and don't discriminate against gay people, so I'm looking forward to the move.

I also recently turned 23, which was pleasant but not earth-shattering by any means. We had a party at the house, and a whole bunch of my friends, both old and new, showed up, drank up, and partied down, which was pretty awesome. The party doubled as a house-warming celebration, as well. We're getting settled in quite nicely, despite the fact that I still have no bedroom furniture. Mo is traveling for her job all summer, so she doesn't "officially" move in until the end of August, but she spends most of her nontraveling time at the house.

Other than that, nothing of much significance has occurred. Mo and I celebrated our 10th month together, someone got shot on my block, Mo and I went to see the 4th-of-July fireworks near the Washington Monument (they were only so-so), my bike (which is too small for me to ride anyway) got stolen out of the back yard (on my birthday, no less!), I bought a little Weber grill for hypothetical summer barbecues, and I joined the Marines.

Okay, that last thing was a lie, but the rest of it is true. I swear!
